A question many brides face - should I get lash extensions or go with false lashes?
From my point of view - always go with false lashes.
Why - lash extensions do look beautiful, however twice this season (and it only started in November for me) I've had to fill in lashes on brides with my temporary ones to replace ones that had fallen out. Even though they'd only had done two days before their wedding!
Another downside is that they get eye shadow drop down on them when your having your eye makeup done, while we do take care to shake off any additional shadow on the brush, there's always some that falls onto the lashes. Which will show up in the photos.
A lot of artists only use strip lashes so if you have any gaps in your lashes from falling out they won't be able to fix up for you :(
I don't use strip lashes anymore, I think they look fake and a bit tacky to be honest. I prefer individual temporary flare lashes. They look like lash extensions, look a hell of a lot more natural and just make your eyes pop for photography. And the corners won't lift off halfway through your wedding (and yes i have seen that before).
Plus you can take them off that night with ease and not have to live with them until they fall out with your natural lashes.
If you are unsure about having lashes at all, I recommend at least trying them out for your trial and then making a decision, you might surprise yourself.
However - if you are going to go for lash extensions - please use a reputable person with experience. Don't go for the cheapest price as you will be left disappointed and out of pocket. Do your research first. Or ask your makeup artist if she has any recommendations, we know a lot of people in the industry so can guide you in the right direction.
